What do you think about hydrogen cars?

I'am trying to do a survey on the likes and dislikes of hydrogen cars. Please try to be detailed in your answer, if possible.

What do you think about hydrogen cars?
My major dislike is the fact that this country has no infrastructure for it they are mostly a pipe dream and it is being touted as "right around the corner" right along with Flying Cars!

Hydrogen tech is much more available than the resources to put it into practice.

There are far more realistic alternatives that will work with current infrastructures. However they cut into oil co profits and that is why they are not moving forward any faster than they are.

The cars themselves are fine(or will be someday)
Reply:Hydrogen cars rock and building the infrastructure isn’t overwhelming. Instead of producing hydrogen at a few central plants, piping it or trucking it nationwide, the future is to produce hydrogen-on-demand at both the current gas stations and in people’s garages in home hydrogen fueling stations. I am doing a survey and would love your feedback?

What are some things you associate with Christians? For example, you know a Christian because they go to church, or they have a bible in their back car window. I want to know how do you know a Christian when you see them. i.e. they may wear a shirt or they have blessed on their vanity plates. Let me know cuz i am doing a survey and would love your thoughts.

I am doing a survey and would love your feedback?
Many wear cross necklaces.
Reply:If they practice what they preach!

A great many do!

But a great many don't as well

Mostly, you have to sit back and watch, and listen!
Reply:you shouldn't know a christian based on what they look like.

the korean christians being held by scum in afghanistan look like koreans. they wear clothes and take showers. nothing about their appearance would cause anyone to think they're christians.

wearing a cross no longer signifies being christian as we see countless sluts with crosses hanging between their breasts knowing full well they're not christians dressing like prostitutes.
Reply:You can't judge a book by its cover.

You cannot generalize here. How can you look at someone and KNOW? There is no way.
Reply:By the fruits they bear

whatever is in the heart will come out

you can see light and darkness in the eyes

the eyes are the window to the soul
Reply:I know a Christian by their humility. By their modesty of dress. By their hunger for the Word of God, which is the bread of life. By their fear and respect of God. By their diligent study of the Word of God. For husbands, by their loving care of their wives. For wives, by their submission to their husbands and loving care of their family. For children, by their honoring their father and mother.

I know a pseudo christian by the rest of the stuff.
Reply:I recognize other Christians by their love for others and their burden for a lost and dieing world, their hunger for Gods truths, and their passion for all thing of a Spiritual nature. The Bible says we can know them by their fruits and by their love for the brethren. God bless!!
Reply:The most religious have a way of shielding themselves from other people truly getting to know them, because they typically will not entertain any form of motivation, thought, or feeling without attributing it to God.

e.g., God's decided to bless our day with a little rain to go with our picnic.

- {♂♂} - {♂♀} - {♀♀} -
Reply:Many people are definitely Christians and don't do *any* of those things.
Reply:many christians can be identified by T-shirts, jewelry etc. but that may simply be a show...truely know a christian by their actions and by the love they show.
Reply:To tell you the truth, they're just ordinary people who like other people of other religions try to base their lives on moral principles. True Christians for me are those who are slow to judge and quick to listen. Those who are compassionate, and most importantly love their neighbor as themselves. Those who are open minded and do not see things for what they are and take things literally. Anyone can be a Christian, its just a matter on how you label yourself. I believe the same is true of the 5 major world religions.
Reply:A christiian walks the talk. You must get to know that person before making a judgement. For some people say they are christian but their way of life does not reflect their belief.

Others lives will reflect their belief in Jesus Christ. For example say a person says that he/she loves everyone yet does not go to help someone who needs help .Do you really think that person really loves everyone?
Reply:i only know a christain after i talk to them
Reply:you should know a Christian not by the Bible they carry or by the t-shirts they wear proclaiming their beliefes but by their every day behaviours. by how they treat themselves and others with respect. anybody can carry a Bible and spout off Bible passages and have special license plates and clothes that loudly proclaim them as being followers of Christ but if their actions show differently then it's just hype and nothing else.
Reply:You can't necessarily tell who is a Christian by the way a person looks or the clothes he/she wears. Christianity is a matter of what's in the person's heart.

That said, if you see a Christian-related bumper sticker on a vehicle, that's a sign. If the person has a spot of ashes on their forward on Ash Wednesday, that's a sign. If the person has a crucifix or cross in their home, that's a sign. (But wearing a cross around the neck does not necessarily mean one is a Christian.) If one is dressed as a nun, priest, mininster, pastor, that's a sign. The people getting in or out of their cars in a church parking lot is a sign. A person praying before a meal is a sign.
Reply:oki, im going to try to not insult anyone. but i associate these things with christianity:

Crosses, Mary, Chrurches, Christmass, Mass, Hypocracy, Intolerance, Concervatism, Corruption, Classical Music, Angels.

plz note that some of these only apply to certain christians, who occasionally seem the norm. i know christians beleifs are VERY wide, and not all christians are the same.
Reply:You can't based on someone's appearance. Check out their words and actions.
Reply:You can't, in general. Christians are much too diverse to generalize.

There are a few clues that work for *some* people.

- Carrying a rosary.

- Wearing a cross on a necklace.

- A Christian gesture, such as the sign of the cross.

- Statues or icons of Jesus or saints in the garden. (Angels don't count, especially the little cute ones.)

- A Christian bumper sticker or vanity plate on their car. (Unreliable. for example, my non-Christian brother sometimes drives my Christian mom's car.)

- A Christian T-shirt. (Won't work with me, because i'm an apostate who hasn't thrown the T-shirts away.)

- Regular attendance at church services. (Unreliable for individual members of a churchgoing family. Some non-believing adolescents attend under protest, and some non-believing spouses attend for the sake of family harmony.)

- Won't shut up about Jesus or the Bible.

_________________

Non-clues:

- Behavior. There are good Christians (MLK Jr.), bad Christians (Hitler), good heathens (Bob Geldof), and bad heathens (Stalin). Totally unreliable.

- Use of "god" in one's speech. Some are non-Christian theists (Joe Lieberman), some are atheists who use "God" as a metaphor (Einstein, Hawking), and some say "god" out of habit. Totally unreliable.

- Celebration of Christmas or Easter. These are cultural celebrations as much as religious holidays, and are pagan in origin anyway. Totally unreliable.

Which online survey Co. really will pay you cash ?

I've been scammed too many times from survey companies that promise they are a legitament company and that they will pay you for completing their surveys. The truth is I haven't found one yet that's true to their word . There's got to be one that really will pay and not ripp you off ! Somebody help me please if you do know of an honest online paying survey Co. This seems to be the only kind of work that I can do right now since I do have small children and no car and one of my children are dissabled .MAY GOD BLESS YOUR SOUL FOR ANSWERING THIS VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION .

Which online survey Co. really will pay you cash ?
There really is no "survey company" that will pay you for your time. It is a waste of time. Get a real job, work hard, and be proud of your hard work. Trying to get money for minimal effort is the wimps way out. They are all scams.

Can anyone help me with the steps to answering this question about completing the squares?

The city transit system carries 24800 bus riders per day for a fare of $1.85. The city hopes to reduce car pollution by getting more people to ride the bus, while maximizing the transit's revenue at the same time. A survey shows that the number of riders will increase by 800 for every $0.05 decrease in fare. What fare will produce the greatest revenue?

Can anyone help me with the steps to answering this question about completing the squares?
let x = # of fare decreases of .05

let R = Revenue

R = (1.85 -.05x)(24800+800x)

R = 44880 +1480x-1240x -40xsquared)

dR/dx = 240 - 80x

Max when dR/dx = 0

Thus 0 = 240 - 80x

x = 3

New fare = $1.70

Landscape designer is good especially if you like gardening.

Do those surveys really pay you over the internet?

im looking for every possible way to raise money for a car do those surveys really work if you know of a one can you tell me?

Do those surveys really pay you over the internet?
You can make a little cash--usually $1-5 per survey, occassionally a little more. I usually make about $20 per month. Not enough for a car...

I've listed most of the sites I have taken surveys through and actually been paid (or received other rewards like gift cards or CD'S) on the following webpage:

http://www.windhavenweb.com/surveys...

I list how they pay you, what I like and dislike about them, whether they have an affiliate or referral program, etc. (And yes, if I say they have an affiliate program, I'm part of it, and make a commission when someone signs up through that link...I like to be up front about that).

But watch out--there are also scams out there you need to watch out for. Here are some tips to avoid them:

Don't sign up for any survey site which asks you to pay to access the surveys. Also watch for language like "get paid for taking surveys AND SIGNING UP FOR OFFERS" if you don't want to have to sign up for stuff with other companies to get paid.

Always carefully read their terms of service and privacy policy. If in their privacy policy they say they only use aggregated info, this is GOOD SIGN they are legit. Aggregated info information that is grouped together so it can't be connected with anyones personal identification like name, e-mail, phone or address. That's what survey sites SHOULD collect. Avoid sites that say they give, rent, or sell any personal information (info that is not aggregated) to third parties (unless you really don't mind getting junk mail, telemarketing calls, and spam).

Also, never sign up for a survey through an unsolicited e-mail--since these might not even be from the site they claim to be, but could be a phishing scheme to get your information and mis-use it. And never give your credit card info--there is no good reason a legitimate free site would need it.

Here are two other sites which are very helpful

(scam reporting site)
Reply:One of the way that I make an extra income from the Internet is by doing surveys! I spend about an hour an night doing them..I also make good money form selling items on auction site, "reading email", focus groups and Blogging! I can share a site with you that helped me get started over a year ago!
Reply:Check out this link and sign up using the first one and look at payment proof on the second link.

http://readmetomakemoney.blogspot.com/
Reply:If you want to find a legitimate online work at home job and really make money,I suggest you doing paid survey...

You can visit http://www.surveyreview.info (A free paid survey review site) to find more and learn how to earn money easily and legally.Hope that help you.

And you also can click my screen name or avatar for more information..
Reply:I have participated in many on line surveys. From my experience, the ones that I complete pay in small amounts- $5 or sometimes $20. You would also have to fit the demographics in the survey. I often start to fill out a survey only to be told I don't fit the group.

So, go ahead and sign up. You may not rake in the cash, though.

I do surveys through SurveySpot.com, NPDOR, %26amp; IPOS (I think it's IPOS). Some of these surveys now give you "points" that you can use to enter lotteries for prizes and cash. You will not get paid to fill out the surveys. Read them before you agree to fill them out.

Good luck.

SURVEY: How much would you pay for plans/instructions on how to recondition most batteries, coin cells~cars'

Hi, your answer can be as short as just a "dollar amount" and your city/country!

If I had information to sell, such that you'd never have to buy another coin cell, alkaline, single-use lithium, rechargeable NiMH AA, and lead-acid battery for the rest of your life, how much would you pay for this information?

Please advise your city %26amp; country.

Here are examples of what I'm referring to:

Joke-of-the-Day:

While I was waiting in the auto repair shop's lobby for my car to be repaired recently, another customer came in looking a little frustrated.

"Listen," the customer announced to the owner of the shop.

"When I bought this premium battery six months ago you said it would be the last battery my car would ever need. It has already died after only six months!"

The shop owner looked quite mortified.

"I'm very sorry," he apologized. "I didn't think your car would last longer than that."

SURVEY: How much would you pay for plans/instructions on how to recondition most batteries, coin cells~cars'
not a dime. since doing this is hardly worth my time to repair/ vs buying a new better performing batt, and it is so simple to do so for the initiated. Plus most of this is readily available on the web. Further I would not risk voiding my warranty on my consumer electronics, by the actions you describe you will be doing.

P.S. You are not supposed to ask about locations!

Land Survey questions: would like to know ballpark cost for boundary survey...?

What is the ballpark cost for a boundary survey? I am getting one in the next couple weeks. How do I know if I am getting a good surveyor? What do I look for? Will a boundary survey resolve issues with neighbors that claim parts of my yard are their property? Is there anything that can be done about a neighbor putting their trash (old tires, old bathtub, 2 junk cars, tractor, etc) practically in my backyard? He claims it is his land but its past the tree boundaries and into my yard. He also claims the addition on my home is 2 inches from his property line. The other neighbor claims my driveway is on her property as well as the wooden swing. The addition, driveway and swing were put there by the previous owners. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Land Survey questions: would like to know ballpark cost for boundary survey...?
Boundary surveys vary greatly in price, but you can expect to pay at least $1500 for one (probably more if you live more than 25 miles from a surveyor's office). An ALTA survey would be valid for as long as you owned the property. Almost all survey companies do these types of surveys, and nearly all are fairly identical in quality...Ten different survey companies will have the same location of the property line (or within fractions of a milimieter). There are some firms which specialize in doing exactly this sort of thing, you might feel more comfortable using one of them. But nearly all survey firms will do this, and they will nearly all be the same.

Two points to consider.... #1. : Just because there is a treeline, that does not necessarily mean that is the property line. Treelines/hedges/etc... do not delineate property lines. They are often very close to the actual lines, but not always. A surveyor can settle once and for all exactly where your land ends and your neighbor's begins (and it will be upheld in court).

#2. : I am not sure what state you live in, but most states have building codes which require all building walls to be at least half a foot from the property line. If any state were different, I would think the distance would be GREATER. That tells me that your nrighbor is probably mistaken about the actual location of the property lines (and perhaps you both are?) Be prepared either way.

Unfortunatley, the only way you can really be sure is hire a surveyor. Encroachment (thats the terms surveyors use when someone else's house or driveway is partially sitting on someone else's property) can be a nasty thing. Even if you are proven right, you would probably have to go to court to have anything done about it. Good luck!
Reply:For a 50 X 120 flat lot and a FEMA elevation certificate I am being charged $2,500. This is located in a small rural town in Washington. This was the cheap bid since the surveying company is also doing work for the city at the same time. The competition wanted $5,000 for the same work. I personally know the surveyors dong the work and the company they work for is an established local company. Like anything, get references - talk to some of their previous customers and ask around. The survey may not completely resolve your issues since it sounds like you have some very difficult neighbors. What it will do is help you if when you have to take them to court to settle your property dispute.
Reply:a guess on price-$500. prices vary greatly across the country.

how would you know if he's good- if he's liscenced, he should be capable of doing it correctly. you can ask your friends,"who's a good surveyor?"

putting trash near your property-- some towns have laws against this type of thing. if you are not in city limits, probably nothing you can do, legally. only recourse is tell him it is an eyesore and ask him to move it.

when surveyor marks the lines. neighbors have to abide by them. if they disagree with it, then they have to hire a surveyor and pay him to do it. with today's GPS, the 2 surveys should be within millimeters of each other. if 2 surveyors come up with diffwerent lines, you have to go to court to establish line.

an alternative--ask the neighbors if they will go in with you, hire a surveyor, split cost, everybody agrees to live with what he marks. this would split the costs, show good will, hopefully keep peace.

property disputes can get ugly.
Reply:I would get references from locals in your area. Perhaps there are references and ratings online for surveyors in your area. I live in Las Vegas. The last time I had to hire a surveyor, when I bought my first piece of property, I had to use smoke signals.

Regarding the trash, you'll have to check your county or city ordinances to find out if any laws are being violated. More than likely, there are. In the case of abandoned vehicles, the last registered owner of the vehicles should be responsible.

Building easement ordinances vary from state to state, county to county. This is probably why you need a surveyor. If these building infringements were on the property when you bought it, you'll want to check your purchase contract for any "purchased as is" clauses. Someone might have just wanted to sell the property just to get out from under that.

Laws in your state might give you certain rights. I don't even know where you live. I haven't checked your profile. I would consult with a real estate attorney.

What is your favorite non-exotic, but not old kind of car?

i don't know if the question made any sense. i'm really not a car person at all. what i'm trying to find out is what your favorite car would be, something like a porsche, vanquish, volvo. (i don't know if that's exotic or not, again don't know much about cars, but something of that sorts.) not too "fancy". put as much as you like. just a survey for this math project we're doing. apparently, my group decided to do it on cars.

Regarding the question about the bro sharing a car with sis. This was a hypothetical question as i am 46 yrs.

I am merely trying to find out what the general opinion of the general populas is about this change of law. 50% of and said the bro would not be affected and 50% said he would! Interesting survey!

The best is to do the things that you feel good with.

I am taking a survey regarding my two at home adult children.?

Child #1 26 year old male, works full-time, doesnt go to school, makes 2,500.00 a month. This child does not pay rent, bills, food or anything else for that matter. He works his 40 hours and that's about it. He spends his free time watching tv, on the computer, or out with his friends on the weekend. Since it is the New Year, i think i need to say something because i dont think he is planning on leaving anytime soon. Dont get me wrong i am not comp[laining but i think it is time for him to help out with room, board, and around the house. How much do you think is a fair amt to ask? he has no bills, no car payment, no credit cards, no student loans nothing. Myu husband and i work hard while our adult kids sit back and watch us. I dont want to throw them out, but i dont want to start another year like this. Child#2, 20 year old girl who goes to school and has evenings and wkends free. she doesnt work, not inside or outside the house. But always has a need for$$. so i am taking a survey!

I am taking a survey regarding my two at home adult children.?
This is a tough call. My son is 19, and like you, I can visualize him still here at 26 or 36 haha.. and I love my kids dearly, but as parents, we want our kids to become productive beings in society and be able to function on their own. I never believed in room and board for my kids, but that was before he graduated from highschool. The economy is so bad that even though I know my son would like to get a place of his own, he just will not be able to afford it alone. But your son is older, and makes more money. I would not be able to do the room and board thing, but I can certainly say 'you got 1/4 of the utility bills, and grocery bills". My son, even though only working at mcdonalds, does contribute to household bills as needed. My daughter on the other hand, is a senior in highschool, and I have been a single mom for some years now, working many hours a week, and even though I give her money all the time, she cleans the house.. a lot.. so she earns her keep haha so to speak. This has probably not been much help, but I do know that about 8 months ago, my son was here, not working, having his friends over all the time, and I kicked him out of the house. That lasted about 3 days.. He called me and said "mom? can I come home? I will get a job and do what I am supposed to do". I think that maybe you need to do the same with your son. I have pissed off both of my kids in the last year.. but.. we do have to sometimes give them a push to make them get their life together. We as parents are unconditional love anyways, will always be there for them, but we at least need to make them try.. it is not healthy for them to never leave home...and we need to teach them responsiblity for themselves, whether they want it or not... in your case.. charge the rent or they have to move on. The threat of that might even make your daughter make a few changes.. See, we as parents also I think (thanks to society and the csb crap) are afraid today to do and say what is necessary, forget all that and just go back to the old days.. it is working for me.. :)
Reply:Ouch!! hurts just reading it. I was out on my own at 18, working full time and school, so its hard to sympathize with these kids. They have it too good to leave, I wouldn't leave either. First of all, your daughter can work, she can and she will if you cut off the dough. Tell your son that if he wants to stay that he needs to pay a good amount for rent and food. You might tell him that you are collecting an amount to put away for his 1st house but are taking what you need for expenses. I'm guessing you and your spouse will want to retire some day, do you see that happening if this continues? Making them fend for themselves will help them, it will help them grow up and mature.
Reply:anyone who is an adult needs to be paying rent especially if they don't attend school. Freeloaders have got it made.
Reply:Your free loading crap-for -kids need to pay you 1/3 of their income for rent, around 821 bucks a month, each
Reply:Charge them rent, and put a portion of it into a savings account for them to buy someplace of their own.....You don't even have to tell them about the savings account. It is time for the kids to grow up! Also, your 20 year old should at the very least have set chores that she has to do. Everyone should pitch in, enabling them doesn't help them or you!
Reply:Ok I will add my 2 cents worth to this story. I have a 24 year old son who will be starting a new job tomorrow, full time. He helps pay utilities and cell phone bills and will buy groceries or dinner or lunch on occasion. Since his new job will be a commute for him I think he will be considering a move closer to his job location.

I also have a 26 year old daughter who is in school part time and looking for a job. So she cannot contribute to the household expenses much less pay her own bills. So we all help her out when needed.
Reply:Child #1 probably needs to be out on his own. I'm 27, make about the same amount and am married and just bought my second house. He needs to get his life going!

Child #2 might be OK to stay home, but needs to use her free time to make some money and contribute to the family.

Both are not learning anything by getting a free ride at home!
Reply:You are like Dr. Frankenstein except better. He only created one monster.
Reply:Child No. 1/26 years old-Out of the house by April 1st

Child No. 2/20 years old-Part time job by April 1st.
Reply:Tell the son he needs to start paying $400 per month to live there.

Tell the daughter that she is going to have to start cleaning the

house and you will pay her $400 per month...

Cleaning includes laundry, cooking etc. etc...
Reply:Honey, I'd write a bill for your son. A bill with a due date and what he owes retro. If he doesn't pay his bill on time, tell him it's time to be a big boy and find a place of his own. Don't let him make you feel guilty, he's grown, mom's job is DONE.

Your girl is a student, good. Perhaps she should find a part time job and chip in a bit for food or you could "suggest" that it would be very helpful to you if she could help some around the house.

Either way, they both need to cut the cord.
Reply:Do yourself a favor and start charging child #1 at least the going rate for a one bedroom apartment.

It's time he learned about the real world and you are not doing him any favors by babying him, trust me. I saw how my brother turned out after living at home until he was 30, and having my mom do everything for him, including balancing his checkbook. Now, if something were to happen to any of us, he would have no idea on how to survive on a daily basis.
Reply:Child # 1 needs to get out on his own. He has no bills and makes $2500.00/month. He is an adult and if he continues to stay at home it is going to turn into an after school special. Child # 2 needs to help out around the house if nothing else. She should have a part time job to supplement her need for $$$. If she is going to school and doing well and you are okay with her being home go for it but she should be paying for something. Good luck and Happy New Year.
Reply:Child 2 could take care of the house functions to help pay her way. Cleaning and cooking would not be unreasonable at all.

Child 1 does need to contribute by helping with the food bill, utilities and cleaning his own room. $300 to $400 a month would be a good place to start, depending on your cost of living.

You are raising two "freeloaders" that have absolutely no responsibilities; therefore do not have to function as maturing adults. It is time that you and your husband prepared them to be on their own by making them accept some of the responsibilities around your house.
Reply:I have a 28 yr. old living at home, he makes about $1500 a month, gross, and he gives me $150. He also helps with chores without being asked.

A girl going to school and doesn't work is going to need money. If I could, I would totally support my daughter while she sent to college.
Reply:Hey i'm 22 and I pay $745 and make about $1000ish.

Child one: I think the fair amount of rent should be how much you pay in bills to live there plus a little extra for repairs (same as any management place). But I would really push to move them out.

Child two: Have her work. I had to live in a $640 per month apartment at her age. Help her gain enough confidence to feel she is ready to move out on her own.

Survey? - if you have disease like diabetes, would you rather a or b?

to stop having or getting a disease like diabetes would you rather

a) give up eating meat

b) give up all your comfortable wealth - 401k, stocks, nice house, cars, desinger clothes, jewelry etc...

why?

Recently a family member with high type 2, gave up eating meat and reduced their insulin intake, and now are in a very good healthy place.

Survey? - if you have disease like diabetes, would you rather a or b?
I always try to fix health issues through healthy habits if possible. I've lowered my cholesterol from 300 to 200 in 7 months by switching to a vegetarian (now vegan) diet. My goal is to have it at 150-170 at the end of 12 months.
Reply:i gave up meat to be healthier. if you live in a big meat family it might be harder though. that's all my grandparents eat because that's all they're used to eating. i'm glad they're doing better now that they're off a high fat diet to a point where they were able to reduce their insulin intake.
Reply:I think I could give up meat quite easily..
Reply:I could easily give up meat. I have done it before , for four years.
Reply:How about:

c) learn all I can about controlling the disease, manage it without drugs... all with simple diet and exercise, continue to have a little meat now and then, and continue to enjoy my very modest life in great health?
Reply:Not sure really how giving up either is related to not getting or for that matter getting diabetes.

Friends and Family - What YOU Should Know about Diabetes

If Your Relative Has Diabetes, YOU Could Be at Risk, Too!

According to the US Centers for Disease Control, people who have close relatives with diabetes are more likely to develop the disease themselves. Many diabetes symptoms seem harmless, but early detection and treatment of diabetes can improve your chances of living long and well.

Early detection means better health and longer life.

Know the Diabetes Risk Factors

· Age 65 or older

· Overweight or obese

· Inactive lifestyle

· “Apple-shaped” body

· Sibling or parent with diabetes

· Impaired glucose tolerance or insulin resistance

· African, Hispanic, Asian, Pacific Island or Aboriginal ancestry

· High blood pressure

· High cholesterol

· Gestational diabetes or birth of baby weighing more than 9 pounds

If you have three or more risk factors, or if you have any diabetes symptoms, see your doctor right away.
Reply:Contrary to most popular opinion BEEF does NOT have large amounts of fat in the muscle tissue. What fat is in the muscle is marbling and is of the omega 3 and 6 variety!!!

There are about 5 whole cuts of beef that are not "low fat"!!

I would never give up eating beef or lamb!!

I do not have comfortable wealth, a 401k, nice cars, designer clothes, and very little jewelry. Stocks are there and loose me $$$ frequently. I have an antique mud hut (adobe over 100 yrs old) that won't be very clean ever!!!

I have given up potatoes, rices, pastas, cereals, grains of all kinds, peas, dried beans, carrots, and corn!!

That is easier on my glucose levels. My blood pressure is 115/50 my lipids panel is better than good, and I am getting the amounts of insulin down to a managable level.
Reply:a) I havn't eaten meat or eggs since I was six years old, it's no big deal. We just buy low carb veggie meat instead. Sometimes, it is hard to get the right amount of protein and not eat to many carbs, but generally, it's managable. I don't see how this would help diabetes. Me and my family did it for moral reasons
Reply:Giving up meat, definitely! I don't really like meat anyway, so it's a win-win situation ;-)
Reply:I choose C: stick with diabetes. It is not all that bad.
Reply:You are wrong. Giving up meat would not reduce your insulin intake.

You don't have to give up meat, just eat leaner portions of any type of meat. why would you give up eating meat because you were diabetic? that is silly.

Diabetic mostly have to worry about limiting carbs and sweet foods. Limiting meat would be because you have kidney damage or high cholesterol. Tell your friend to see a dietician.
Reply:Why would I give up meat? Protein is essential combined with a complex carbohydrate for good health and BSL control.

I dont understand what this has to do with diabetes, as diabetics have issues digesting carbohydrates, not meat.
Reply:a.

Which is more environmentally friendly: a hybrid car or a traditional 4cyl civic/focus/cavalier/camry?

I'm doing an unscientific survey.

If you account for the manufacturing and disposal of the vehicle, as well as the operation of the vehicle over it's useful life, which is more Environmentally friendly (CO2 output, overall emissions, particulates, toxic landfill space)? A hybrid (like the Prius) or a traditional gasoline or diesel powered vehicle (choose your fuel... biodiesel, ethanol, or other)?

Should we all drive small traditional cars or jump to Hybrids?

Please also respond with your occupation.

Which is more environmentally friendly: a hybrid car or a traditional 4cyl civic/focus/cavalier/camry?
I would buy a hybrid if I could afford the added initial cost

you need to own one at least 10 years to break even price wise

small new diesal that runs on low sulfer is best in total terms of amount of raw materials consumed over the life of the carand in manufacturing it and operating it-and considering the acutal production e nergy required as well as the disposal enviromental issues of batteries and such of a hybrid -they in the long run are far more damaging to the enviroment than a diesal is- and the added costs will likely never be earned back over the life of hybrid unless you drive it 150k.

The ideal concpt i hydrogen- clen buring plentiful - justnot tech feasible yet
Reply:An argument as old as the hybrid technology. I owned a 2002 Prius and let the math solve the issue for me. The car was $6000 more than the Echo sedan platform that it was built on. That means in the expected five year life of the car I would need to have a $1250 a year savings in gasoline just to make it pay for itself. When the car was new and the batteries in top condition the car got an average of 48 MPG on my daily commute. An Echo would have gotten about 40. The Insurance cost more for the Prius, the services cost more for the Prius, and the cost of replacing the batteries at 80K was always in the equation. It turned out that it was way cooler to drive a Prius than en Echo, but certainly not as inexpensive. After having some major problems with it I traded mine for a small Mercedes and have lived happily ever after
Reply:A car that gives off the least toxins during it's life and is the most economical is best. I understand your point though about the landfill issues. It would be good if cars were made to last with replaceable parts. Lets hope that some brave business person goes for it and starts up that kind of manufacturing..the days of short term products and high amounts of waste that's often toxic will soon be overwhelming for the planet and us!

Teeth %26 Gums help

How honest are you in this situation?

You are pulling out of the parking lot in a shopping centre or movie theatre and you accidently bump another parked car, you get out survey the scene and notice you've left a visible dent impressed upon the other car....do you write a note explaining the occurence and leave your phone number...or do you drive off before someone notices your dilemma?

Personally, and I'm very cynical but I'd leave a note stating "You can thank me now, or later, for leaving your sad vehicle with a little more character."

How honest are you in this situation?
I would be VERY tempted to just leave it and go away, but i know that i will feel guilty and won't be able to rest, so i will contact the owners,Afterall, why should they have a bad day just because you've had an unlucky one?

Lessons to be learnt?

Be more careful next time
Reply:Not to brag, but I was 17 when I bumped into a car, and I contacted the owners. I remember thinking how very P***ED I would be if someone hit my car and just left. So, I walked in to the restaurant and found the manager. He then made an announcement, and the couple came over. It all worked out in the end for us.
Reply:Once I came out of a grocery store. When I went to open the trunk of my car to put the groceries in I saw severe damage to the bumper and a broken tail light.

A note on my windshield said:

"I regret I just backed into your car and damaged it. The crowd that has gathered thinks I am writing my name and address on this paper but I'm not. Sorry."
Reply:Note-period
Reply:I slid into a car on the ice one time, it was very early in the morning (3am)...I honked and waited, finally a guy came out and I explained the situation to him, he told me that the guy I hit was in Miami on vacation and he would tell him what happened. I left my phone number and insurance information. That was 3 years ago and I'm still waiting to hear from the dude. Honesty pays...sometimes.
Reply:ouch!
Reply:If it was me, If there was but only place the person can be, I would go ahead and call out who drives a car with such and such license plate, then I would take them to the side and tell them I am sorry, but I accidently hit their car.

I'f I'm in a hurry for like a meeting or whatever, I would put down my name and phone number, wouldn't give too much 411, for they could be psycho and I would also call the police at my earliest convenience.
Reply:I would leave a note with my number and an apology. "Do unto others as you would have them do to you".
Reply:In your small "cynical" note did you leave your name, address, and phone number? Now imagine if that was your car that got a dent in it when you got out the store.
Reply:i would leave a note even if i would have the sense to want to leave it would be the right thing to leave a note. but i think that leaving your # is a important thing and ppl appericiate it even though you messed up thier car for being honest
Reply:someone left me a note once, so i'd definitely return the favor. (what comes around, goes around)
Reply:I'd leave a note under the wiper and hope that the wind would blow it away or that the rain would make the ink run and render it unreadable!
Reply:no i wouldnt, andi will tell you why,not that it isnt the right thing to do,but i have had my cars in the past banged and dented up plenty of times and pay back is a mother------!i wouldnt go and do it on purpose, but i wouldnt lose any sleep over it when and if it happens!
Reply:i would probably drive away
Reply:I like your note. But I would go with "The large dent in your fender scratched my door. I demand satisfaction and will seek revenge on you and your descendants. Have a Nice Day."
Reply:My truck has so many dings, I have renamed it a pinata! If someone left a ding just to the body, Oh well...BUt if it effects the performance of the truck, then we will have issues...I have had some pretty bad ones, one about a month after getting my truck...This was a hit and run in the parkin lot at a restraunt...I was so annoyed for so long, and eventually realized that there was no real damage except for the cosmetic portion of the truck(really bad scratch, scrape, and paint removal...) But it was more of the "How could someone do that and just leave?" I have a really bad concience, and have to leave a note, or even wait for the owner... I have learned, most peopkle appreciate the notice, rather than finding the surprise...Even a simple sorry in everyday life helps mello people that are frastrated by our actions, I have seen this in action.
Reply:I just put myself in the shoes of the person I just hit, so I would leave a note.

Mind you a friend hit a parked car and had a lot of witnesses...so he left a note saying tough luck sucker...
Reply:Thanks for the laughs (and the 2 points).

I would drive away if no one was around...
Reply:yeah, i'd leave a note.

How do I conduct a proper market survey of the cars available?

First step

Go to www.carwale.com and see which car works for you in terms of major concerns - price, size, mileage, etc (you can do a comparison of up to 4 cars)

Next test drive all the cars you have shorlisted on ONE single day. Preferably choose the exact same route for all cars (you can ask the showrooms to send you the cars for trial). I would recommend that you try it at the showrooms if you want to try more than one car at each showroom (different models and versions), and especially if the showrooms are close to each other.

I strongly recommend that you start with the one you think is likely to be the best drive and then move to the one you consider the worst.

How can I make some cash to save up for a car? (teen in california) Any ideas including online surveys?

I am trying to save up for a new car (my truck has too many problems) so I can find a job out of town. My goal is to come up with $1,500. I am going to sell my truck for about 500 to 700 bucks so how can I come up with an extra couple hundred? I live in moreno valley California and finding a job is hard which is why I want to commute for a job because I have friends in other cities who get jobs fast while they are in school and i have already graduated! I will eve take online surveys if they are ligitement and worth my while. Any ideas to solve my paradox? I need a job to get a car but need a car to get a job and public transportation in my area sucks. thanks!

How can I make some cash to save up for a car? (teen in california) Any ideas including online surveys?
Sounds to me like you need a, "live in" job for starters. You could work and live on site for 6 months and save all your earnings. Your lodging and food would be included so you could really save up.

Jobs like this might be at a summer camp or special needs facility. There are people who need companions. You could work as a live in nanny.....I'm assuming here that you are an upstanding citizen with an adventurous spirit!
Reply:Taking online surveys for extra cash is feasable, but unfortunately it is very difficult to predict exactly how much income you will earn. You can definitly make money taking online surveys, but unfortunately it will likely only supplement your income and not make you the type of money you are looking for.

That doesn't mean that you shouldn't go ahead and register with the online teen survey companies out there, to get a better idea as to how much money you will be able to make.

Register with websites that at a miminum list a privacy policy on their website so that you can see how the companies you are registering with use your personal information. This way you will be more assured that the companies you are registering with are legitimate and will indeed pay you.

Have fun and good luck!
Reply:The online survey site I am a part of does not have any fees and registration is fee.

It in fact does really pay as other users have proven so.

I have already made $20 and I just started two days ago. Payment is a check that comes to you in the mail. :)

Pros and Cons of owning a "bio-diseal" car?

I am doing survey for school project. Thanks for your thoughts.

Pros and Cons of owning a "bio-diseal" car?
Pros: Better fuel economy(sometimes better than hybrids, no real sacrifice in performance, can be fit to "normal" looking cars, MPG benefits at highway speeds unlike hybrids which are beneficial only at slow speeds.

Cons: Diesel isn't as widespread as gas, may not be as healthy for the environment as gas.

Nonsensical survey: are convenience stores or lawn mowers going to be blamed for humanities demise?

Convenience stores because we don't give a sh*t about things as long as we have something from a cenvenience store to keep us comfortable. Thus less civic and community stuff happens.

Or lawn mowers because they give off much more CO2 than cars and lawn mowers are even more unnecessary than cars. Thus global warming (climate change).

(Both is the preferred answer but i want your unique answer.)

Nonsensical survey: are convenience stores or lawn mowers going to be blamed for humanities demise?
lawnmower rentals at convenience stores.
Reply:No, I think Air Condition. It's every were.

They also make people lazy, and most people avoid the heat, working, perspiration and weight lose.

And since most Americans are use to Air Condition they don't to work outside. Thus, creating Jobs Americans are to spoiled to do.

Since they don't do the Jobs A/C is also a factor in the the cause of Illegal Immigration, (and as they work on the yards they use lawnmowers).

Thus, A/C also is responsible for obesity in America. Houston was said to be one of the most Obese cities in the Nation and they use a lot of A/C.

Because of A/C and obesity is then also a major factor in causing diabetes.

A/C is also helping create the whole in the Ozone layer.

So we can see that A/C is also the cause of Global Warming.

And causing the Polar Ice caps to melt.

The more we use it the more Energy, Fuel, we use to power our Houses and cars. Thus, giving us the need for more oil, and leading to The War in Iraq.

I hope I summed it up for you.
Reply:Lawnmowers are completely to blame for the destruction of humankind. Researchers have found that regular lawn mowing with gas, electric and solar-powered lawnmowers contributes not only to global warming, but to cancer, obesity, and alcoholism.

After using a lawnmower, the operator is 100 times more likely to consume beer and invite friends over for a BBQ. The 15 guests who come to dinner get there by driving in their cars, contributing to global warming. The BBQ is fueled using charcoal, which produces creosote when burned, a powerful carcinogen. Food that is BBQ'd which contains nitritates (such as bacon) further create carcinogens when burned on the grill.

The steaks for dinner came from large herds of beef cattle who emit poisonous methane gas in their flatulence which depletes the ozone layer. The BBQ also increases ambient temperature inducing the need for refrigerated beer. Freon, used in most refrigerator units is known to leak and even further deplete the ozone layer. When the beer runs out, co2 emitting gas powered vehicles are use to drive to the store to get more.

And, everyone overeats at a BBQ, resulting in obesity.

Yup. It's the lawnmower.
Reply:Neither of the above. I think one of the real culprits is the human tendency NOT TO THINK, but to rely on stereotypes, gossip and factoids, or false facts, when making decisions.

"Human beings need to think more about killing" is one quote from the movie THE FOG OF WAR that illustrates my point.

Robert McNamara was a believer in control accounting... a mathematical way to analyze and evaluate systems...and was plucked from success at the Ford Motor Company to become President John Kennedy's Secretary of Defense. His unique approach to management guided the U.S. involvement in Vietnam. Three decades later, McNamara wrote a book that was seen as a kind of apology for the disasters of Vietnam. But filmmaker Errol Morris was convinced that McNamara still had something more to say. He persuaded McNamara to sit down for a series of interviews that became a documentary. In it, McNamara reviews the way governments and leaders make decisions, and gives them a failing grade. The film is a must-see for anyone concerned about the future of the planet.

Surveys show that men with small penises make the best car mechanics - why should this be?

Perhaps it gives them a little more clearance when they are lying on a trolley under the car.

Should teens be restricted from getting their drivers license before graduating? (Survey)?

Im doing this debate thing... So I need you opinion (I'm surveying people). Should teens only be allowed to get their drivers license and drive a car after they graduate from high school?

Should teens be restricted from getting their drivers license before graduating? (Survey)?
I love this idea!!!!! What a great incentive to get an education.
Reply:No. I mean, you have to work and study to pass the test and get your license, so what correlation does that have with graduating?

Besides, you also have to take into account that said teen will be driving their parent's car, unless they are able to buy and insure their own. Should you need to graduate to prove you're able to buy and insure your own car?

It sounds like some one is trying to legislate the lack of responsibility of the parents (by providing an irresponsible kid with the car) by making graduation a requirement.
Reply:maybe make a progressive license program, such as only to and from work and school from 16-18 and then full privileges at 18.

the truth of the matter is that teens, as a group, cause more accidents than anybody else on the road period. Frankly, i'd like to see the age bumped up to 21 or 25 (and no i'm not an old fogey). How about vehicle restrictions, such as no sports-cars, SUVS or 8-cylinder vehicles until age 18 or 21?

Also, other countries show that by lowering the drinking age and increasing the driving age they successfully reduce drunken driving overall.
Reply:No.

High School students need a car so they can do extracurriculars, which is very important for getting into college and for resumes for scholarships and such. Also if they have a job to earn money to put themselves through college. This would work opposite of what you want because without a car they could not do these things and then their higher education would be affected.

Also there is already the law in place (at least where I am from) that if you drop out of school your license will be taken away, so that in itself is the incentive you are looking for to graduate.
Reply:That is not a great incentive to get an education for the simple fact it won't work on the majority who decide or are forced to not finish school. They are many factors that play into not finishing high school other than just being lazy.

Also, now a days teens have alot of repsonsibility and many are main providers for their family. I am a emplyed teen and I have to many responsiblities to be worrying about not having a license because some square parents thought it SOUNDED like a good idea.
Reply:No... ,any teens have jobs to help support their families. Also, no parent wants to drive their kids to all those sporting events and after school activities. I do think ateen driver should have only one other person in the car. Nationwide, 16 year olds with several people in the car have more accidents.
Reply:Its not a good thing if they start getting stupid,,and drunk and die.Ive seen it...! NOT ME Is what they say and not all of them do,,But the ones that do can kill themselves or some one else.

Read this....http://www.usatoday.com/money/autos/2005...

Get in a car and LETS PARTY,,I did it too,,Luckily for me i didn't crash when i was drinking and yes there were a few close calls,,I quit drinking years ago because i knew if i didn't I wouldn't be here today..It was a very good call on my part..

Check out the links below and see what you think.......

I'm not out to tell anyone what to do,,Just what Might Happen..
Reply:no, since they might have a job to go to

however retired people that quit work to collect Social Security should be made to retake thier drivers test every couple years or so since the inactvity of retirement seems to really cause a decline in motor and reasoning skills
Reply:It would keep them from getting job experience before they graduate, which is important.

Also, it will negatively affect our economy by removing that population from the workforce.

There's no real upside to this idea.
Reply:O yea , we have this law here in Florida and I feel it's great although once a knuckle head always a knuckle head and it won't change much for those with that mentality.
Reply:My State, Arkansas, allows getting the license but revokes it if the person quits school before graduation. Then they need to wait until 18 to get it.
Reply:No, they should have some experience before going out on their own. restrictions would be good like an adult must be in the car at all times.
Reply:Sounds good to me but that would never fly. Maybe move the driving age to 21 just like drinking.
Reply:No. Im in my thirties. If they are dangerous at 16 , its going to be the same at 18.
Reply:no two more months and i will never be at my house so i wont argue with my mom any more. no no no.....!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Reply:no!!

Mazda Miata: girl car or not?

A friend of mine just got a brand new Mazda Miata. Is that a girl car or not? Just a quick survey.

He is married, without kids, and has two other cars.

Mazda Miata: girl car or not?
Definately not a "girly car". Go to a local SCCA Solo II competition and see what I mean. Absolutely top notch cars for competition.
Reply:Miata is not a girly car! at all. i own one and if you only put some headers on it youll be flying, it comes stock with 135hp and also rear and front lower strut bars that most sport cars dont come with. the new miata is a whole new product! its kinda $$$ but its worth it. Report Abuse

Reply:Definately depends on the color. My cousin (male) drives a black one. It can be both a girl and a guy car for sure.
Reply:It really isn't. I hope he didn't get one for that reason.
Reply:the new one is trying to attract guys, hey i want ant of them they can really move
Reply:Yes, it's definitely a girlie car. Mustang, now that's a guy's car.
Reply:Nope, not at all. Actually, it's a pretty good unisex car. Works well for men and women.
Reply:no. depends on the color of the car. and also i know of a miata fitted with a v-8 engine.
Reply:My honest answer is that anytime I see a middle aged man driving a Mazda Miata, I think MID LIFE CRISIS!!!

So, in this case, it would be an anti-girl car for me.
Reply:no, I've heard somepeople dropped a 350 big block in the 90's how girly is that?
Reply:girlie man car.........girleee
Reply:i'm a girl..i think it's a girl car...i like it..but when i see a dude in one...i think hmm..he looks like a manly woman in that car...but..that's just me.....if he digs it? who cares! but...maybe should've gone w/the solstice haha it's way cheap and not AS girly looking ;)
