How can I make my car insurance lower per year?
The mustang, and your age, right now is what has your insurance so high! Also, if you have any tickets, and if you smoke! I'm with an insurance called Farmers, and it's the lowest around here in Texas, I don't know if ya'll have it in N.Jersey,!

Reply:this is with State Farm; good student discount(GPA of 3.0 or higher), no accidents every year, Safety awareness log, and you get discounts every 2 years of age 19,21,23,25.
Reply:Shop around. Different insurance companies charge different rates.
Reply:1. Shop around for different insurance carriers.

2. If you have Comprehensive/Collision coverage. raise your deductible.

3. Stop getting tickets and improve your driving record. 3K is high risk.

4. Use public transportation to/from work if possible. By getting your car off the roads during high volume rush hours, the insurance company considers you less risky.
Reply:There are many ways that you can lower your insurance rates such as :

1.Taking Drivers Education

2. Increasing your deductible

3. Dropping Collision and Comprehensive coverage

4. Combing your home and car insurance policies

5. taking advantaqge of student discounts

The best and easiest way to get a better rate, is to simply shop around and get an online quote at http://www.auto-insurance-knowledge.com/... This will compare all companies in your area and give you the lowest price. You will be surpirsed on what you can find. I saved almost $500 by using this, so it is worthwhile to just check!
Reply:The 4 easisest ways are:

1. do not get involved in motor vehicle accidents

2. do not get tickets with points

3. do not drink and drive and get arrested

4. take the defensive driving class every year for a 10% reduction.

Other than that, you would have to change some things on your policy, like:

1. whether you drive your car to and from work

2. your age (which you really can't do too much about)

3. whether or not you park your car in a driveway, garage, or on the street @ home

4. whether or not you have an alarm system

5. whether or not your vehicle is considered a sportscar (Corvette, Mustang, Ferrari, etc), luxury car, or on the frequently stolen list or having property from it stolen (Honda's, Mitsubishi -headlights are a favorite for thieves)
