Survey: Have you ever had a run-in with the trunk of a car?

*mutters*


Stupid trunk being at eye-level. I have a bump on the right side of my forehead.

Survey: Have you ever had a run-in with the trunk of a car?
It wasn't actually me who got hurt. Well here is the story. I was 13, visiting a town I was not used to, with people I didn't know well, but they were from my age up to about 17, ther were five of us out joy riding in this one kids car, we were drinking on a case of Boons Farm Apple Wine and cruising in the hills near the town. We were goin' along and the kid in the middle of the back seat climbed out the back window, it was a convertable and the rear window was missing. So this guy is laying out over the trunk as we bombed along down this hill. The guy driving got the attention of everyone and said, "Watch this." When he said that he leaned the car into one turn then he wipped the wheel around the other way and the guy on the trunk rolled off of the car and landed in the middle of the road at about 30 MPH. He rolled about four or five times before coiming to a stop in the middle of the road. The driver stopped the car and pulled back to the guy on the road. We all got out and hoisted him back into the car. His new silk shirt was totally torn to shreds and he had bleeding marks all over him. But at least it made him quiet down a lot, for a while. As we got close to where everyone lived the dumb guy climbed back out onto the trunk and the driver swerved one way then whipped it around the other way and got the guy again with the same move and he again flew off of the back of the car and rolled along the street for about 20 or 30 feet before comming to a stop. This time when we pulled back he was hurt pretty good and was bleeding over a good portion of his upper body, since his shirt was mostly gone before he fell. This time he got in and stayed inside of the car. We were only a couple of blocks from our destination and when we arrived this poor guy climbed out of the car and he was so drunk he forgot what had happened and he was asking us what happened to his new silk shirt. Needless to say the next morning he was in real bad shape. Well that is the closest thing I have to a car trunk story, and it is even true. A side note to the story is that night was the last time I would drink any kind of wine untilk I was in Paris some five years later, the mere mention of wine would make my stomach turn for years. Reply:Not until you mentioned it, now every trunk lid I see will have my name on it - thanks. I remember falling out of trees as a kid, it happened a lot, we don't have many trees in North Dakota so I never got very good at it. I could never decide if it was better to hit every branch on the way down or accelerate and hit the ground once. RScott

Many other things, but not a trunk. (it's a 'boot' over here....no idea why....it just is. Also you have a hood....we have a bonnet.....just fyi ;o)





Anyway.......are you thinking more clearly now? Did you apply ice?.......or is that reserved for the rum? lol!
Reply:no, but i've hit my head just getting into my car a few times. i don't know how the heck i manage to do that but it hurts like hell!
Reply:I was riding my ten speed when I was substantially younger and was distracted by a lovely young lady washing her car in a bikini and rode right into the back of a parked car! Really impressed her!

Reply:why yes long story but i ended up in the trunk of a car. good thing i had a gun with me.
Reply:Not a trunk but a hood has fallen on me when I forgot to put the bar up when I let go of the hood=/

Reply:No but slammed my daughters fingers in one. She was 3 at the time and her fingernail fell off.
