What was your favorite car of the 1960's and why?

this is for a school survey. also, please only answer if you have knowledge of cars at this time, or lived then and can answer,. thank you

What was your favorite car of the 1960's and why?
A 1969 Impala SS , it has a 427 cubic inch engine, In 1969, the Impala SS was available only as the Z24 (SS427), coming exclusively with a 427 in³ V8 of 335, 390 or 425 hp. This was the final year for the Impala SS until 1994.

1969 was the last year that the Impala SS was offered with the Z24 package, but the only year in which front disc brakes and 15 inch wheels were standard; that made the 1969 SS427 better than the previous version. Although the 427 was replaced by the 454 in³ Turbo-Jet V8 in 1970, the SS option was gone. Thus, the 1969 Impala SS427 got the best of both worlds, which is why it is so valuable and is often cloned today.

Reply:My favorite car in the 1960s was the 1958 Chevrolet Impala 2 door coupe with a big V-8 engine. They were also trying a new automatic transmission called TURBOGLIDE that did not have any feeling of ever shifting. (Fast and good looking.)
Reply:1963 Corvette Why? Because they were a kick to drive and guys really noticed you when you drove a vet. As we use to say they were bitchin' (which meant awesome)
Reply:the '67 427 corvette coupe. i loved the look of the corvette since 63, but the 67 had the vertical front fender vents, and the coupe looked better than the convertable, and of course the 427/435 hp big block was the engine to get.

i also liked the '65 austin healey 3000, a friend had one and the long hood curvy trunk, 3 litre 6 cyl with triple carbs. just one beautiful car.
Reply:1967 SHELBY GT500 MUSTANG because it is an absolute thing of beauty, coming from South Africa i have only seen one at a car show and thank god everyday that he gave you

Americans the ability to build such a vehicle with its carroll shelby preformance 427 aluminum engine and shelby vortex supercharger slamming out 750bhp...........gotta love a V8
Reply:67 split window vette.big block

69 camaro big block or Z28

69 boss 302 mustang
Reply:A 1967 Camaro RS/SS black on black with hidden headlights.

1965 Chevy C-10 p/u
Reply:My answer would be a 1958 Chevrolet Bel-Air with 3x2's, some nice wheels and tires and tuck and roll interior. The cars had alot of room inside and in the trunk. Just really nice body lines and an all around car that had some class. Guys liked them and the girls in school did too. But just my opinion. Class of 1968
