What's the best muscle car to start with for a beginner?

I'm taking a survey for a class and the question is: What's the best muscle car for someone to buy as their first muscle car and why? No rules. Any year. Any make. Any model.

What's the best muscle car to start with for a beginner?
I would say a second generation (1970-1981) Camaro or Trans Am. They are very easy to find, cheap and still have good power. Especially for a beginner you don't want a 69 or anything worth alot of money. But it still has to be a muscle car no no V6's. They never have and never will be considered a muscle car. A muscle car is a car with two doors and a very good power to weight ratio.
Reply:It depends on your wealth and what you can afford. A Mustang is traditional muscle car beginner material, but if I had not rules any make any model, I'd just get a Ferrari.
Reply:Late 60s-early 70s Nova.
Reply:ohhhh. i would have to say the first generation camaro.(67-69).. This was around the time that muscle cars were being born.... they were sleek and were full of horses. They today are classics and highly sought after. And needless to say this was back in the day when performance came from the motor and not aftermarket chips and crap like that!

oh and dodge killer .... he said someones first muscle car he didnt say an age!
Reply:70 Chevy Nova, cheap to start with and you can build it insane!
Reply:A v6 mustang or camero. It would not be a good idea to give a beginner to much power, or they might kill themselves.
Reply:Well, assuming the standard definition of a muscle car, being a car in the 64-early 70's range, basic car with a lot of engine stuffed under the hood... hmmmm. I would say there are a lot of Pontiacs running around like the tri-power bonnevilles that were kinda sleeper cars, but great power, and not TOO expensive to buy, very luxurious and comfortable.
Reply:1971 PLYMOUTH CUDA OR A 1991 DODGE CHALLENGER.

WHY ?????

PURE MUSCLE.
